It's a wrap: Burger Bistro.
We've just completed the fitout for Burger Bistro on Adelaide Terrace in Perth, following an exciting and inspirational development process.
Our brief was to create a store experience that built on the two existing sites, further embedding the Burger Bistro brand and what it stands for. The store was to provide a relaxing environment, where people could not just to grab something to go, but stay a while, enjoying picnic-style alfresco dining, comfortable, lounge seating and intimate, inviting spaces.
So, drawing inspiration from funky, character-filled cafes and bars that are the hallmark of cities such as Melbourne and NYC, we set about creating a design that integrated exposed, recycled brickwork with natural timbers, pressed tin panelling and soft, welcoming furnishings. Careful choice and positioning of pendant and surface-mounted lighting ensured an overall feeling of warmth, while cleverly accentuating exposed ceiling structures and cooler charcoal and textured background finishes. A subtle gesture to the city and the store’s location were included through the commission of graffiti art by a local Perth artist and the street number ‘181’ tiled into the bar front.
The team was given a clear challenge with particular time constraints, but of course it was all managed and delivered as required – and the new store is now open and fast gaining a loyal clientele. This new environment will now be rolled out to the other stores and new sites as they open across Australia.
They’re still busy building a great website to complement their in-store experience but in the meantime, you can check out their awesome menu here. If we had to pick one, try the Captain America burger – it became a firm favourite of the Valmont team!
