  • Co-owners Brookfield and Dexus Group commissioned Valmont to assist with the leasing strategy for vacancy at 324 Queen Street, Brisbane. The specific focus was on attracting tenants to smaller tenancies at the rear of the floor plate, driving initial enquiry and engagement by creating an activity-based display suite within 203sqm at the back of Level 12.

    The brief dictated this space had to be both dynamic and thought-provoking, but above all else, ‘like nothing the Brisbane market has seen before’. It had to allow potential tenants to easily interpret the space as their own, imagining their particular needs and infrastructure within it and demonstrate the flexibility and opportunities it presented.

  • While constrained by a modest budget, we capitalised off the back of an integrated make-good, realising an opportunity to pare back and let the overall tenancy area and height be the heroes. With very minimal built zone, we filled the interior with activating, dual-purpose joinery pieces and underlined the visual aesthetic with subtle graphical cues.

    Workpaces were to work doubly hard; for example, the concierge point would also serve as an informal meeting area, while the kitchen breakfast bench could also act as an efficient stand-up working solution. Similarly, workstations were placed on castors to allow for highly flexible configurations driven by specific team tasks. As a result, a truly activity-based and agile workspace was delivered.
